Full bottom scrub for sailboats and powerboats up to 40 feet. Removes fouling, improves performance and fuel efficiency.

$150Diver-installed zinc and aluminum anode replacement on hulls, props, and shafts. Protects underwater metals from galvanic corrosion — checked on every hull cleaning, or scheduled on its own.
$100 + cost of zincProp removal and replacement, shaft work, line clearing, and underwater repairs. Quoted per job complexity.
$225+Underwater mooring inspection with photo/video documentation and a DLNR-compliant report, prepared for submission on your behalf.

Owner & Master Captain
Morgan Youngblood is a USCG licensed Master (25GT) with towing endorsement and marine scientist based on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. His diving services are available for recreational or non-commercial underwater assistance.
Locally based in Hilo with full dive gear, underwater video capability, and vessel access. Available on short notice for visiting and local vessels.

Kalikoonamauna "Kaliko" Zarate
Senior Marine Operations Captain
Kaliko brings 25 years of offshore captaining experience to Hilo Marine Services, with deep roots in traditional and modern Hawaiian seafaring. He has sailed aboard the voyaging canoes Hōkūleʻa and Moʻokiha o Piʻilani, and holds extensive local knowledge of the ʻAlenuihāhā Channel from a home port in Hāna, Maui, where he learned to fish.
His racing background includes nine years competing in the Transpacific Yacht Race (Los Angeles to Waikīkī) and four years in the Pacific Cup (San Francisco to Kāneʻohe Bay), alongside 15 years of experience as an Alaska sportfishing captain.
As Senior Marine Operations Captain, Kaliko leads vessel operations, salvage assist, and harbor operations for Hilo Marine Services — bringing blue-water experience and generational Hawaiian seafaring knowledge to every job.
